In ancient China, the Mid-Autumn Festival banquet was the most elegant in the court. For example, the Ming Dynasty court was popular to eat crabs. After the crabs are steamed in bags, everyone sits around and tastes them, accompanied by wine vinegar. Drink Suye soup and wash your hands with it. The banquet table area is filled with flowers, large pomegranates and other seasonal freshness, performing the mythological opera of the Mid-Autumn Festival. The size of the Qing Palace mooncake is unimaginable. For example, the mooncake that the last emperor Puyi gave to Shaoying, the minister of internal affairs, was "about two feet in diameter and weighed about twenty pounds".
